It’s Got Me Now (first draft demo) This is the last original song i wrote. It’s a very personal song about songwriting. As long as i can remember i wanted to be a songwriter. It was like a nagging drive inside me, tormenting me in a way. I’ve gone through several “prolific” periods in my life, but no matter how many songs i wrote, i was never really happy with any of them. Rather, i should say they disappointed me because no one else liked them. And really, what’s the point of writing songs nobody wants to hear. At the time that i wrote this one, this struggle was threatening to drive me insane. In a way, it was a “goodbye” to an old me.

kaho na kaho cover A cover of a song performed by Amir Jamal of Pakistan. In Urdu and Arabic, because it was originally an Arabic hit in a different country. I covered this song, as well as the Yes song, for my beloved coworker Flora Syed who shared both of these beautiful songs with me and wanted to hear me sing them.
